There are sixteen heavens. On the upper portion of the Cosmos in these heavens Dev-Indra-pious souls live there in.
* It is a fundamental fact, accepted and experienced by all that all living beings in this world are unhappy and everybody wants to get rid of this unhappiness. They also make attempts to do so, but since they do not know the correct path to the state of perfect happiness, all their attempts are in vain. The basic reason is that the living beings do not know the real path of liberation. Liberation means complete freedom from grief and pain.
There are seven hells.
HELL
In the lower region as per the Jain cosmos is Narak i.e., Means “hell”. This is place where the souls reside. There are seven hells in descending order starting hell no 1 on top. These have been named as follows: Here the souls have to stay in the hell for getting punishment of all the bad deed one did in the past life. These souls are sufficiently punished then they are released and transferred to go for new life in accordance’s the remaining karma. 7th Hell Maaghvati (Tamsatameh Prabha) Here are five level huge colonies for the residences for the innumerable Narkie and Kumbhiyan. They fight with each other all the times. 6th Hell Megha(Tameh Prabha) In each hell there are several colonies where the Narkie and Kumbhiyan of hell resides.(99995 number of houses). The land here is completely covered with dense darkness and nothing can be visible. . They fight with each other all the times and punish the weaker one.. 5th Hell Rishta (Ritha-Dhoom Prabha) in each hell there are several colonies where the Narkie and Kumbhiyan of hell resides (300000 numbers of houses). The land is stuffed with dense smoke like pepper smoke where breathing is extremely difficult. They fight 4th Hell Anjana (Pank Prabha) in each hell there are several colonies where Narkie and Kumbhiyan live i.e. (10, 00,000 number of houses). It has land where place is fully filled with flesh, blood and mucus etc. 3rd Hell Seela (Balooka Prabha), 1500000 residences for the Narkie and Kumbhiyan. (15, 00, ooo number of houses). It has extremely hot sand like land. The Control of Hell no 1 to 3 rest with the Peram Dhami Dev like YAM the lord of death and they are called the Masters OF HELL 2nd Hell vansa (Sharkar Prabha) in each hell there are several colonies where the Narkie and Kumbhiyan resides (25, 00,000 number of houses) It has piercing and very sharp gravel like land. The Control of Hell no 1 to 3 rest with the Peram Dhami Dev like YAM the lord of death and they are called the Masters OF HELL 1st Hell Dhama.(Ratan prabha) It is Just below the Madhya Loka. There are several colonies where the Narkie and Kumbhiyan resides.(30,00,000 number of houses) It has black sharp stone land. The Control of Hell no 1 to 3 rest with the Peram Dhami Dev like YAM the lord of death and they are called the Masters OF HELL. In all there are 84, 00,000 Narkavaas in all the seven hells. Each Narkavaae and Kumbhiyan .These Colonies being controlled by the masters of hell are of sizes i.e., innumerable miles long and innumerable miles wide and three thousand miles high. Each colony is occupied by the number of the Masters of the houses of each hell as given above.
